Sherry Pryor

simonSherry Pryor is the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of William D. Witter, Inc (WDW) located in the Citicorp building of New York, NY. WDW was founded by Bill Witter, son of Dean Witter, in 1977 as a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA). Today, WDW has under its umbrella, a Small Cap Growth Fund, Penfield Partners, L.P., a small cap hedge fund with almost a twenty year track record, and separately managed accounts for high net-worth individuals, semi-institutional, and institutional clients.

During Sherry’s time at the University of Pennsylvania, she received B.S. in Economics from the Wharton Undergraduate School, and a B.A. in Economics from the College of Arts and Sciences. While at Penn, Sherry played squash, tutored Down’s Syndrome children, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, and candy striped in the Natal Intensive Care unit at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Sherry grew up in New York where she attended the Juilliard School of Music as a student in the Young Artist program and then boarding school in New Jersey.

Sherry began her career in finance at Lazard Freres in New York, and then went to ESL Partners, a Greenwich, Connecticut based investment firm, and before WDW, was the founding partner of Coudenhove LLC, a hedge fund focused on international investments. Sherry is on the Junior Committee of the Boys’ Club of New York, the Board of Ducks Unlimited, a part of the Apollo Circle of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and committee member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. She also supports the Whitney Museum, Grosvernor House, the Central Park Conservancy, the New York Philharmonic, Breast Cancer Foundation, Sloane Kettering Cancer Foundation, the Museum of Natural History, the Michael D. Witter Foundation and plays squash at the Union Club in New York.
