One data-driven success: With 55% of all children in the Philadelphia public school distric quitting school between 9th and 10th grade, SquashSmarts is proud that 100% of our SquashSamrts students have stayed in school and graduated on time. Of those, 90% have realized an improvement of two or more grade levels in at least one core subject area (i.e. math, reading, spelling, comprehension) as measured by an independent Drexel University research project supported by the Eckerd Family Foundation
“If there were someone who was going to join SquashSmarts, I’d tell them it’s good for your health, it’s fun exercise, you can meet new people, see different sights, and experience wins and losses.”
- Demonte Harris, SquashSmarts 10th grader and third year team member
